Shanxi Coal Mine Solar Heating Project
I. Project Background: New Heating Demands Amid Energy Transition
Amid the global shift towards clean and low-carbon energy, Yulin in Shaanxi, a major energy base, faces significant challenges in its coal mining industry regarding traditional heating systems—characterized by high energy consumption and heavy pollution. Coal-fired boilers or pure electric heating not only suffer from low efficiency but also run counter to the "dual carbon" goals (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality). The integration of solar energy with high-efficiency heating technologies has thus become a key direction for green heating in coal mines, making it urgent for Yulin’s coal mines to adopt efficient and eco-friendly heating solutions to address these dilemmas.
II. Project Overview: Clear Presentation of Scale and Goals
Launched in 2021 at a coal mine in Yulin, Shaanxi, this project provides heating for a 24,000-square-meter coal mine office building, covering office areas, meeting rooms, and other spaces. Since its implementation:
It saves 300,000 kWh of electricity annually, reducing electricity costs by several hundred thousand yuan.
It cuts carbon dioxide emissions by 644 tons per year, equivalent to planting approximately 36,000 trees.
The project thus achieves both economic and environmental benefits.
III. Technical Solution: Coupling of Engineering Manifold Collectors and Air-Source Heat Pumps
(I) Analysis of Technical Principles
The project adopts a "engineering manifold collector + air-source heat pump" coupling model:
Engineering manifold collectors: These collect solar energy through high-efficiency heat-absorbing panels to heat cold water, which is then stored. Their manifold structure is adapted to Yulin’s cold, windy winter conditions.
Air-source heat pumps: These absorb thermal energy from the air and convert it into high-temperature thermal energy via compressors.
The system flexibly switches operating modes based on weather conditions:
On sunny days, it prioritizes energy supply from the collectors.
On cloudy days, both the collectors and heat pumps work in synergy.
In extremely low temperatures, heat pumps serve as the main energy source.
This design resolves the issue of over-reliance on weather conditions that plagues single solar energy systems.
(II) Elaboration on Technical Advantages
The technology offers three notable advantages:
High energy efficiency: Solar energy reduces dependence on electricity consumption, and the power consumption of heat pumps is only 1/3 to 1/4 that of pure electric heating.
Stable heating supply: It maintains an indoor temperature of 18–22°C even when the outdoor temperature drops to -20°C.
Low operation and maintenance costs: The equipment features a modular design, eliminating the cumbersome maintenance procedures required for coal-fired boilers.
IV. SOLETKS Group: Strong Support Behind the Project
(I) Demonstration of Group Strength
As a leading domestic provider of clean energy solutions, SOLETKS Group has focused on the solar energy sector for over a decade. It holds multiple patents and has been awarded titles such as "National High-Tech Enterprise." Its projects cover more than 20 provinces and cities across China, earning an excellent reputation for both technology and services.
(II) Group Advantages Empowering the Project
The group’s four core advantages ensured the smooth implementation of the project:
Customized equipment optimization: Equipment was tailored to adapt to Yulin’s local climate conditions.
High-quality certification: All equipment has passed ISO 9001 certification, with the collectors boasting a service life of over 15 years and the heat pump compressors covered by a 5-year warranty.
Full-process services: The project was completed within 3 months.
Localized after-sales support: A regional service center was established in Shaanxi, providing 24/7 response to operation and maintenance needs.
V. Project Achievements: A Win-Win for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection
(I) Significant Energy-Saving Effects
Annual electricity savings: 300,000 kWh
Annual reduction in standard coal consumption: Approximately 100 tons
Annual electricity cost savings: About 250,000 yuan
Cumulative electricity cost savings over 15 years: 3.75 million yuan
Investment payback period: Only 4 years
(II) Outstanding Environmental Benefits
The project reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 644 tons annually, eliminates harmful gas emissions from coal combustion, and produces no wastewater or waste residue. It serves as a model for the transformation of energy enterprises in Yulin.
With the advancement of the "dual carbon" goals, the demand for industrial clean heating continues to grow. SOLETKS Group will further optimize its coupled heating technology, explore multi-energy complementary models, and promote the Yulin experience to energy bases across China, helping high-energy-consumption enterprises achieve their transformation goals.
