The flat plate solar collector absorbs sunlight and heats circulating water via a natural convection loop (thermosiphon). The hot water is stored in an onboard insulated tank, while a cold-water tank ensures continuous replenishment. A 2kW electric heater provides backup during cloudy weather or nighttime use.
