In 2022, Soletk Solar successfully implemented a large-scale solar heating system project in Qingtongxia City, Ningxia Province, bringing efficient and environmentally friendly heating to 1,750 rural households. The system configuration includes:
2 x 2 arrays of 50-tube heat pipe solar collectors
400L insulated thermal storage tanks
3 sets of 20-column radiators
This configuration enables each household to heat approximately 40–50m² of interior space, maintaining indoor temperatures at a comfortable 18±2°C throughout the cold season. The system functions without the need for traditional fossil fuel heating, representing a major advancement in rural clean heating initiatives.
At the heart of the system are heat pipe solar collectors, known for their excellent thermal efficiency, anti-freeze performance, and modular design. These systems are ideal for northern and inland regions like Ningxia, where stable winter performance is critical.
The heat pipe technology ensures fast thermal response and reliable heat transfer, even in sub-zero environments, making it a perfect fit for solar home heating in off-grid or semi-urban communities.
